You've managed to find this page, which probably means you asked if you could pay Jett to help you with a thing! This webpage is set up primarily so that folks have a framework through which to contact me/coordinate meeting times.Please know that I love to be helpful and frankly want anything folks are compensating me for to be as logistically and financially accessible to them as possible. I'm low-income just like a lot of creative professionals, and my main goal here is to help YOU rather than make money.
Services/Meeting Types
Most of the following are offered at a Pay What You Can (PWYC) scale. I'm a firm believer in providing community support and mutual aid where I can, so it is perfectly OK if you'd like to meet and genuinely cannot offer compensation/need to provide less than the "recommended" amount/etc. The recommendations are present mainly so that folks have a reference point!
Stakeless Session - 30min/60min, PWYC (recommended: $60 for 30min, $100 for 60min)
Unfamiliar with live-directed sessions and nervous about the process? Want to demo the experience with absolutely 0 stakes? Good news: I've got dialogue spreadsheets, file directories, and directorial face-noises to offer you! We can meet up and go through a flavor of session format (not ubiquitous, but fairly common) so that you have a chance to get no-pressure exposure to the experience.
Jett Explains Bureaucracy - 30min, PWYC (recommended: $30)
Chat for a half-hour about US acting union (SAG-AFTRA) bureaucracy, logistics, strike details, further points of contact, etc.Please note that Jett is NOT a lawyer or a member of SAG-AFTRA staff—just another actor who wants to ensure non-union/pre-member folks can access information and resources for if and when they need them. If I don't have an answer to a specific question, I almost always know someone who does!Sample questions could include things along the lines of:"How, when, and why do people gain union eligibility?"
"What's the difference between SAG-E and must-join?"
"What if I live outside the US?"
"Why do I sometimes not get an email back from staff?"
Collaborative Hour: Textual Analysis and Circumstance Integration ("You're Telling Me a Shrimp Fried This Rice?") - 60min, $100
If you're looking for a place to apply techniques and bounce ideas off of another person regarding script analysis, beat identification, integration of given and imaginary circumstances with your characterization technique(s) of choice, and staying "locked in" on your character's brain-space: this is it!This session is open to folks at all levels of familiarity with theatre methodology, though it is fundamentally not designed to replace introductory-level classes.
"Direct My Demo!" - Variable time & cost
You've got a demo script. You have your home studio setup. You're ready to record...and realize that you'd really like someone to sanity-check your performance, provide redirection or additional ideas as needed, and be there to cheer you on.Cost will vary based upon demo type and demo length (number of spots), but my approximate rate is $120 for a 6-spot Interactive (videogame) demo!
